Research and Program Evaluation
As part of ReLIVe, scientists in Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh are working to understand how to optimize prehospital resources to increase cardiac arrest survival. 

What kind of topics does ReLIVe study?​
Examples include the following:
  • How many PulsePoint registrants are needed in a given neighborhood to impact bystander CPR rates?
  • Are the publicly accessible AEDs in Allegheny County located in the areas of highest demand?
  • What factors affect rates of bystander CPR and AED utilization in each area of the County
